CANCER TAKEDOWN 2025

Cancer Takedown is an evening of song, story and solidarity.

Featuring incredible musicians Melissa Payne, Kate Suhr, The Weber Brothers, Nicholas Campbell, Anthony Bastianon and more. Co-hosted by comedic powerhouses Megan Murphy and Denise Oucharek. The show also features three women (all diagnosed under the age of 40) sharing their stories; focusing on the emotional and mental rollercoaster that the cancer experience brings.

Cancer Takedown is a fundraiser, but more importantly it is a spirit-raiser for anyone touched by cancer. Our ambition is to bring attention to the emotional and mental burden of cancer, uniting people through shared experience. This year, for the first time, we are expanding to a Lindsay show at the FLATO Academy Theatre and back for the fourth time at Market Hall in Peterborough.

All proceeds go to Cancer Care at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Cancer Takedown was co-founded by husband-and-wife team Rick and Amy Kemp.

Rick has been diagnosed with two separate cancers over the past seven years. After getting through years of treatment including a stem cell transplant, Rick was inspired to give back to the cancer community. And Cancer Takedown was born.

For people who have been through cancer, to those in the middle of their fight. For the families, friends and caregivers who

rally around them. This is camaraderie. This is community. This is Cancer Takedown.
