SWING SENSATION!! is an action packed Big Band Era retrospective of the greatest hits of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Les Brown, Charlie Barnet, Tommy Dorsey and many other famous bandleaders from the '30s and '40s, and is guaranteed to have audience members dancing in the aisles and begging for more! Spectators will be tapping their toes in delight to every fantastic phrase of such mega hits as In the Mood, Let's Dance, Opus #1, Skyliner, Begin the Beguine, Stardust, and of course, the Swing Era anthem, Sing Sing Sing!
As a multi-instrumentalist and recognized jazz virtuoso on all the instruments he plays, Ross Wooldridge is without doubt the number one choice to present this music. Nominated for Clarinetist of the Year at the National Jazz Awards a remarkable 5 times, Wooldridge was a member of Jeff Healey’s Jazz Wizards, and was part of many successful stage productions and music combos, working with such Canadian jazz luminaries as Peter Appleyard, Don Thompson, Reg Schwager as well as his own sextets paying tribute to Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw.
